Spend Wisely to Save Money

Have you ever noticed that the things you buy every week at the grocery and hardware stores go up a few cents between shopping trips? Not by much just by a little each week but they continue to creep up and up.

All it takes for the price to jump up by a lot is a little hiccup in the world wide market, note the price of gasoline as it relates to world affairs.

There is a way that we can keep these price increases from impacting our personal finances so much and that is by buying in quantity and finding the best possible prices for the things we use and will continue to use everyday things that will keep just as well on the shelves in our homes as it does on the shelves at the grocery store or hardware store.

For instance, dog food and cat food costs about 10% less when bought by the case than it does when bought at the single can price and if you wait for close out prices you save a lot more than that.

Set aside some space in your home and make a list of things that you use regularly which will not spoil. Any grain or grain products will need to be stored in airtight containers that rats can't get into so keep that in mind.

Then set out to find the best prices you can get on quantity purchases of such things as bathroom items and dry and canned food.

You will be surprised at how much you can save by buying a twenty pound bag of rice as opposed to a one pound bag but don't forget that it must be kept in a rat proof container.

You can buy some clothing items such as men's socks and underwear because those styles don't change, avoid buying children and women clothing, those styles change and sizes change too drastically.

Try to acquire and keep a two year supply of these items and you can save hundreds of dollars.

Cheers!

Keep up the good fight against inflation and build your Wealth TODAY!

Avoiding Impulse Spending - Start Saving For Your Investments

Answer these questions truthfully:

1.) Does your spouse or partner complain that you spend too much money?

2.) Are you surprised each month when your credit card bill arrives at how much more you charged than you thought you had?

3.) Do you have more shoes and clothes in your closet than you could ever possibly wear?

4.) Do you own every new gadget before it has time to collect dust on a retailer's shelf?

5.) Do you buy things you didn't know you wanted until you saw them on display in a store?

If you answered "yes!" to any two of the above questions, you are an impulse spender and indulge yourself in retail therapy.

This is not a good thing. It will prevent you from saving for the important things like a house, a new car, a vacation or retirement. You must set some financial goals and resist spending money on items that really don't matter in the long run.

Impulse spending will not only put a strain on your finances but your relationships, as well. To overcome the problem, the first thing to do is learn to separate your needs from your wants.

Advertisers blitz us hawking their products at us 24/7. The trick is to give yourself a cooling-off period before you buy anything that you have not planned for.

When you go shopping, make a list and take only enough cash to pay for what you have planned to buy. Leave your credit cards at home.

If you see something you think you really need, give yourself two weeks to decide if it is really something you need or something you can easily do without. By following this simple solution, you will mend your financial fences and your relationships.

In the coming weeks I will spend some time focusing on Investing and Investments in General and in specifics. Tune in to find out more.

Take Care and Best Regards,

Reducing Personal Debt - Start with the Credit Cards

Hi there,

Today we are going to talk about debt. Yes, the dreaded word and that silence before everything comes crashing down. But debt and what it stands for, is very different to debt in reality. Most importance is awareness of debt in our lives and the coping strategies we can use to drive it down!

In most people's lives, we end up buying a house, might not be our dream house but well something over our heads so we don't get wet at night. Not everyone can afford to buy a house and pay it off in full, therefore I would assume the biggest debt a person could have personally, as in personal debt, is a mortgage. So if we had say a list of bills to pay and we didn't know where to start, I'd start with the mortgage. And then we'll move on to the utilities bills and so on. But coming back to debt, we can't avoid it. Somehow, we will realize that we need to borrow some money from the bank. In other times, we WANT to borrow money from the bank. That is sometimes used as gearing to either positively or negatively direct an investment. Today we will not look at that but look at the inevitable situations of debt we find ourselves in.

Sometimes, I like to reflect on how much we spend and how much of what we spend is really ours. Credit Cards, Car Loans, 500 day no interest finance, Home Loans, even 24hr overdrafts for a "emergency before the weekly cheque from work arrives". If only I had managed my money better! That's what we all say when it is too late..

Reducing debt starts BEFORE debt builds up. And like a clogged hose, we don't know how much pressure is accumulated. But we definitely know when it bursts. Look at your spendings on shopping, are you really buying all you need? Or just what you want. A credit card is a wonderful and horrible tool both in one. I personally enjoy my credit cards, yes cardS with a capital "S", but I can tell you and you probably could as well, that the temptation and ease of spending of a credit card can be addictive. The problem we all face is that the bills are paid at the end of the month, and when I look at the bills, I am sometimes shocked at the total amount of my "small spendings". They can really add up to be A LOT.

Challenge yourself and keep your cards home when you go out. Refuse to earn the points you were so promised by the companies. And if you were short on cash, you might just realized you had them all along, but were spending them before they even got into your bank account.

"People who always seem to have money, also know how to save money" unless you are that lucky and blessed. There is some truth to this statement and it really makes cents (sense).

All the best in achieving your financial dreams and keep going, keep saving to be prepared for a better opportunity may come your way tomorrow.

My First Lesson

Hi there,

Over the years, I have learned many lessons and the first one I would like to share with you here is, its not hard or tough to earn money.

Lesson 1:

It's NOT hard or tough to earn money, BUT it is tough and hard to earn ENOUGH and to maintain earning CONSISTENTLY

My Story:

You see back in primary school, I had a eureka! experience and thought why not sell stuffs to my classmates in order to get stuffs for myself. Now all I gotta do is find out what they want then go get it and bring it and sell it to them. Sounded much easier in my head. However, trading cards were the in thing back then and I made a deal with the shop uncle selling it to buy "wholesale". Of course I did not know what wholesale meant back then but it worked! I earned in the hundreds, could have hit the thousands, and even had a mini bidding system going on at the back of the school bus. Hey I was only 8 years old. Money was good, I could have MacDonalds without asking my parents, life was good. But as they say all good things come to an end and soon I was buying more things expecting income and then I realised, I don't have enough to spend. Enjoying my success and not planning ahead business wise (see, trading cards ran outta fashion and I was stuck with lots of supply but no demand), not saving up, and then I was back at square one. My point made, it is not hard to earn money. We just got to get the mindset right.

See, what I learned from this experience at that time was failure, and I felt that my "genius" idea was bad. Moreover, now I had tons of trading cards I don't need and I did not have enough money to buy the remaining pieces of japanese action figures I was collecting.

Boo Hoo…

If only someone told me it was wrong to think like that back then. Maybe I would have started saving all those extra cash I had. Well, start changing your mindset today.

Remember, if you got something going that is earning you money then keep it up! Don't worry and say, "Come on, that survey is just gonna get me $2, whats that gonna help me with." Or "I gotta do THAT on order to earn THIS?, oh man.." You never know when something might turn bad OR really good. The most important is to try and keep trying. Hey, who knew, if I tried again back then, maybe I might be further ahead in the game today.

Best regards and all the BEST! Keep going forward!

Email Cash Pro - Review

Hi there,

I have just dug out an oldie in terms of online earning opportunities. This is a unique network of marketeers who pay you just to read emails. It is very straightforward, no messing about and all in all a good source of income. BUT, you will not earn as much as online surveys out there. However, we all read emails daily and spend a significant amount of time on the computer. If all it takes is for you to click a few buttons and get paid for it, then I don't see how that can be a bad thing.

There is a referral program as well and its all free to join. You don't get much benefits by referring a person unless you refer by the thousands. But it is a good place to start an alternative stream of income. If we all work together and help each other, I'm sure we can achieve our financial dreams together.

Here is the link to EmailCashPro and I hope this helps as you strive for your financial dreams.

Best wishes!

How to save money and still live daily

Hello,

Today we are looking at a very interesting topic and this is one that has been debated over by many others. Here, I'm just going to give you my 2 cents worth on what this subject means to me. Looking back when I was young, I always had the belief that it was better to save my money for that toy or that thing that I wanted most and then go get it! This was instilled into me by my parents and that was good… to an extent. Because sometimes it meant not having recess that day or skipping something important like buying notebooks for school. In other words, I was not living properly day to day. Like wise, in other current situation, if I told you that if you saved $50 a week for 52 weeks, you'd get $2600 at the end of the year, yes that's an additional $2600 to go into your investment plan to build your wealth for your future. Now if we did $200 or $500 a week, we'd save like, $10,400 and $26,000!!

Now most of you will say this is a daunting task and that it is impossible. However, ask yourselves, how much do we spend on drinks? how much do we spend on food? going to concerts? or movies? and well, can you even remember how much you spent in total yesterday?

See the thing is that, most of us have money, its just our lifestyle that has got to change. As long as the basic bills, eg. Mortgage, Electricity and Water bills, groceries and staple healthy foods, and so on are catered for, then anything else is unnecessary spending. For students, school is important, if text books are expensive, go look for 2nd hand ones. Arrange your shopping into what I NEED and what I WANT.

If you start doing this today, and really look at how you spend your money, then I'm pretty sure you can find that extra dollar or 50 dollars in your expenditure to save aside.

If however, you are already on a shoestring budget, then well, its gonna be even tougher. The problem is that in order to make wealth, we first need wealth of some sort. It could be an income or a savings plan.

In the next article, I will try to touch on some ways to make an extra buck $ in the ways that I know how and that I've used myself.

Cheers!

Who Am I?

Good Day to you!

My name is Jonathan, and I'm in the process of achieving my financial dream and success. I believe that despite where I am at, I am always learning and I hope that this website/blog will give others such as myself, the resources and inspiration to strive for that dream as well.

A bit about myself, I am not a financial and investment student, in that, I mean I did not learn the ropes from a school and use plenty of mathematical formulas and what not to determine how I use and invest my money. I have been pretty blessed and lucky to meet various mentors and smart people whom have been a guide and teacher to me.

Here, I hope that I can be someone who walks with you as you look to your dreams of achieving financial freedom and to be able to do what you want whenever you want. More importantly, I hope that you would be able to give back to the community and to the people whom have helped and supported you along your journey as well. Sort of like a pay-it-forward system. But if not, well, I'm just glad that you've pop-ed on here and that you take away something useful.

Best of luck and keep working hard!
